Jordan & Mike | Historic Ashland

Ask me what I love most about my job. I’m usually not going to say it’s the pretty pictures. Though creating beautiful images for my clients is great and very fun, I do weddings because of the relationships I make! Getting to know and creating a connection with each bride and groom is SO life-giving.

Jordan & Mike are a prime example of this! The friendship I’ve created working with them the past year and a half will last a life-time! Though their engagement journey was a unique one that brought us all a little closer…

You probably recognize Jordan & Mike from a previous blog from the spring. These two were my last consultation before the lockdown in 2020. From the minute we began working together, their engagement and wedding plans were flipped upside down. You can read more of their story and why I love them so much in my blog post highlighting their April wedding. BUT long story short, their original wedding date was planned for April 2021 and they did what they had to do to make the show go on!!

Fast forward to their BIG celebration in September!

And y’all, Jordan picked a winner of a venue! Historic Ashland is stunning! The getting ready room felt like a salon, the ceremony space was surrounded by beautiful greenery, and there was a gorgeous lodge where you can dance the night away. And let me tell you, Jordan & Mike’s friends and family knew how to get DOWN on that dance floor!! Their reception was one of the best, Icon DJs kept people on the dance floor all night! It was the perfect “second wedding” for these two! And the perfect ending to a very long chapter!
