Private Property Engagement | Katie & Wesley

I was grinning ear to ear from the moment I received an email from Katie & Wesley.

Why?

If you’ve followed me for awhile, you may know I’m obsessed with Gilmore Girls. Katie discovered this about me and proceeded to share within her inquiry how picking out her dress was very “Lorelei-like.” If you know the show, you already know the story. She picked it off the rack, it was her size and on sale–the perfect dress! Everything fell into place. I was geeking out over her story! Within a simple email, we became fast friends!

Katie had expressed how precious her childhood memories of parents property was to her. So when she suggested the family property for her engagement session, I wasn’t surprised and certainly didn’t hesitate to say YES! I couldn’t imagine a better scene for Katie & Wesley’s session.

This house is straight from a movie. Katie’s parents poured their heart and soul into building their dream home. As a kid, a favorite childhood memory Katie has is helping her father pick up the many rocks that lay on the property. These rocks are now accents within the home and featured in their session. This beautiful rustic modern home that sits on a hillside overlooking Frederick County, Maryland was picture perfect!
