It’s no secret this has been an emotional year. When the shut down began in March, we were overwhelmed with emotions. Through the whirlwind, my heart was only focused on one thing: my brides & grooms. My friends who had been planning their dream wedding for months–in moments those dreams were shattered.
I felt helpless. No email or phone call could mend what had been broken in the hearts of these couples.
A season of bliss quickly flipped upside down, with no idea what to do.
Some brides made the difficult decision to totally postpone to 2021, some eloped on their actual wedding day with a large celebration TBD, while others made it work the best they could given the circumstances and guidelines. No matter what the decision, every couple showed courage, strength, and love through those challenging days.
One bride & groom desperately waited for the courts to open back up to get their marriage certificate just in time. Another bride & groom changed dates numerous times. While others drastically minimized their guest list to meet venue capacity restrictions.
To my 2020 brides & grooms,
Thank you. You showed me what true love and devotion amidst any struggle look likes. It was a challenging year, but I’m thankful to have traveled this journey with you every step of the way. You did it!! 🥳
To my 2021 brides & grooms,
It wasn’t easy postponing, having to wait even longer to marry your best friend. You made a difficult decision during the most challenging of times, and I know that your wedding will be even more magical than you dreamed on your newly scheduled date. It’s been a long road, but I can’t wait to share those moments with you!
